Thanks for visiting my website! My name is Tomasz Szatewicz, I was born in Mragowo, Warmian-Masurian province, in the heart of Masurian Lake District in Poland. Growing up in small town surrounded by lakes, forests and meadows opened my great passion for outdoors and trekking. I took my first photographic lessons when I was around 10 years old, I used my father's old analog russian-made Zenit camera and joined photography course with my primary school mates. Many hours spent with analogue cameras, films, chemicals and dark rooms reinforced my passion for photography. After switching to digital cameras the passion grew further and further. Over the years I build vast archive of photographs of various subjects ranging from nature, instects, flowers, portraits, animals to still life, abstract, seascapes and landscapes. This site represents only a tiny snippet of my work. Large part of it comes from the period when I lived and worked in The Highlands and Moray in Scotland, a real paradise for landscape and nature photographers. Along with taking photographs for non-commercial purposes I worked on commisioned photography such as photography for hotels, restaurants, portraits, architecture, products for catalogues and various works for advertising.
Apart from being an active photographer I am a professional graphic designer with over 17 years of experience and master degree in fine arts gained at UWM University in Olsztyn, Poland. I worked for several print, advertising and design studios in Scotland and Poland. I provide graphic design services for individual clients in Poland and UK as well as cooperating with advertising, design and publishing companies. My third great passion is music. I record and release ambient, electronic, downtempo & experimental music under the moniker 'Subradial'. So far Subradial released three albums: 'Bioloophorm 1' & 'Bioloophorm 2' at Canadian-based dataObscura records and 'Biorephorm' at US-based Atmoworks label and contributed tracks to various compilations such as 'Perceived Distances', 'Collection 2: Moving', 'APTEK' and others...
